I am a researcher, consultant, academic, and speaker of outdoor recreation and adventure tourism with international recognition in industry and academia. My research is referenced widely by the media.
I am an experienced project leader, and I have worked with both private and public organisations to collaborate on research and consult on projects.
I am a collaborative, proactive, and visionary research leader with experience in developing and executing research strategies. I have 14 years of experience teaching tourism, outdoor recreation, sport, management, and research methods in higher education from undergraduate to doctorate level.
I love spending time outdoors and being in nature – camping, walking, climbing, running, road cycling, gravel biking, snowboarding, and gardening! Travelling is also a passion of mine and I have worked in several countries. Combined, these have inspired my area of research and guided my career from a snowboard instructor to an academic and researcher of outdoor recreation and adventure tourism.
I enjoy collaborating with industry, the media, other academics, and students. If you would like to work with me or discuss my research, please get in touch.
